3 and a half hectares of vineyards on the hills, in the heart of the Collio Goriziano, at Oslavia village: formally an organic cultivation since 2016, but actually we have been paying great attention to the environment since the Seventies. Today we produce about 15,000 bottles. The oldest vines, planted by grandfather Mirko, date back to 1978 with half a hectare to Riesling Italico (Welschriesling), a peculiar variety that was widespread in these areas during the Austro-Hungarian Empire and that very few winemakers still cultivate today. In few months we will bottle Pinot Grigio and Ribolla Gialla as well. All our 2017 white wines have only made 5 days of maceration on the skins to allow us to dose the sulfur dioxide (2 g / hl in decanting) and have a 'natural' wine of great balance and character. The label

It is thanks to our grandfather Federico that we now produce wine. For all of us his name was Mirko: a solid peasant, a man of one piece who never left the vineyard during his life. His inheritance is not just tangible, it is made of profound values that we want to pass on. These are the values that we express every day with our hard work at the farmhouse and producing wines at our best. Grandpa Mirko always wore his “slamnik”: perhaps we never saw him part from that straw hat! We designed our labels thinking of him, his values and his beloved hat: the geometric logo and the family name on top and his face and his hat, captured with an incisive, heavy brushstroke which has at the same time a delicate and almost caressing touch.
