About us

Back in the 70s our house, which is right next to the current “agriturismo”, was known as the 'Privada della Maestra'. The name of the family's seasonal tavern was related to our grandmother Hedvika (Edvige) who at the time was very popular both as a teacher at the primary schools of San Floriano, and for the excellent vegetables she used to sell at the Farmers' Market in Gorizia. In short, this hill from which to enjoy a breathtaking view has always attracted friends, relatives, fellow citizens and travelers. Hospitality is just part of our DNA. Our large family still embraces the moral and material legacy of our grandfather Mirko and our grandmother Hedvika. While we have all contributed to the evolution of our typical agricultural family-run business from cultivation and sale to a modern farmhouse project, we will never forget where we come from: the old 'Klanjscek soul' is always with us.

When we were looking for an inspiration to express our roots and our identity into a Logo, we went back to the basis: we focused on our land and our vineyards. The place where we belong, where we grew up, where we live, where we built our farmhouse: Oslavia. The triangle is among the geometrical figures perhaps the one most imbued with symbolisms inherited from the Greek and Jewish culture, assimilated over the centuries by Christian as well as by the esoteric traditions: it is yearning for the divine, the conjunction between heaven and earth. An aerial photo of our family houses on the hill will show them arranged on a triangular plan. Looking up from our farmhouse's terrace you will realise that we are at the foot the Military Memorial, one of the most significant monuments dedicated to the Great War, an imposing architectural mausoleum of white marble and great beauty, and also structured on a triangular plan with three towers to delimit the perimeter. The strong presence of triangular geometry all around us -we would say almost alchemical- is what gives its natural shape to our Logo and encapsulates our roots and our deepest identity with its simple graphic design.
